  • REV. Mattison H. Elmore IV

    SENIOR pastor

    Rev. Matt Elmore was ordained into the Gospel ministry in 2018 and has faithfully served as both a Student Minister and Senior Pastor since that time. On May 4, 2025, he was called to serve as the Senior Pastor of Sardis Baptist Church. He earned his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Anderson University in 2015 and his Master of Divinity with a focus in Ministry Studies from Columbia International University in 2020.


    Pastor Matt is committed to Christ-centered leadership, with a strong emphasis on pastoral care and biblically grounded preaching.


    He has been married to his wife, Alyssa, since November 12, 2022. Together, they are blessed with two children, Eli and Mattie, and their family dog, Larry, a miniature schnauzer. Outside of ministry, Pastor Matt enjoys following sports, especially the Clemson Tigers, and spending time on the golf course or at the lake when time allows.


    We are grateful to have Pastor Matt and his family as part of the Sardis community and look forward with anticipation to all that God will do through his leadership.

  • jennifer Coile

    ADMINISTRATIVE manager

    Jennifer is a Hartwell native who has faithfully served as the Office Manager at Sardis Baptist Church for the past 28 years. She is also an active member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, where she serves as Finance Chairman. In addition, Jennifer leads and facilitates the GriefShare Support Group for Hart County, ministering to hundreds of individuals walking through seasons of loss and grief.


    Outside of her ministry work, Jennifer deeply cherishes her family and treasures every moment spent with them.

  • DANIEL FENTERS

    YOUTH LEADERSHIP INTERN

    Daniel has been serving Sardis is a Youth Intern and Leader starting in 2025. He comes to Sardis from Anderson University where he is active with many ministry activities, particularly with Baptist Collegiate Ministry. BCM encourages Gospel-centered living through active discipleship, engaging experiences and faithful evangelism (both on campus and through off-campus ministry and mission opportunities. 


    Daniel leads our Youth ministry and outreach on Wednesday Evenings and Sundays. He also helps our Children's Ministries and leading in worship with various opportunities. We welcome Daniel to Sardis Baptist Church.

  • samantha skelton

    preschool director

    Samantha was born and raised here in Hart County and at SBC. She obtained her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and taught in some capacity in the public school system until answering the calling for preschool education. Samantha married her high school sweetheart, Sam, and they have two awesome boys, Jackson and Grady. Samantha would definitely describe herself as a "boy mom". In her spare time she loves to be outside (summer is her favorite season), spending time with her family, or baking sweet treats. Samantha truly loves children and she is passionate about teaching them God's Word.

  • ASHLEY

    ADMINISTRATIVE ASST. 

    Ashley is a Hart County native who has called the area home since 2006. She was born and raised in neighboring Franklin County, Georgia. Ashley is married to her husband, Nic, and together they have three children.


    Ashley loves the Lord deeply and is grateful for the many blessings He has given her, especially her husband and children. She is passionate about encouraging others to remain strong in their faith, often reminding them that with steadfast trust in the Lord, anything can be accomplished. Her favorite Scripture is Matthew 28:20, “I am always with you!”
