Michael has a passion to see God’s people grow in God’s Word. He desires to see God glorified through the salvation of men and women as they repent of sin and submit their lives to Christ. He is an expositional preacher, believing this is the best way to feed God’s people the whole counsel of God’s Word. Michael loves the local church, as he believes it is the primary means by which God fulfills His purposes and mission for mankind. He holds a BA degree in Theology and Church Leadership from Boyce College. He also holds two advanced degrees, a Master of Divinity degree as well as a Master of Theology (ThM) from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Eddie Simmons grew up in Toccoa Falls, GA where he attended Toccoa Falls College and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Bible-Theology and later graduated from Columbia Biblical Seminary in 1992 with a Master’s degree in Christian Education. He has over 40 years of pastoral experience in churches around the Southeast. Eddie and his wife Marilyn, who has gone on to be with the Lord, have one adult son, Stephen, and two beautiful granddaughters. -

Barbara Adair has been singing since she could talk and grew up singing around the house and on family car trips. When she was old enough, she sang in her church choir and a youth choir. As an adult, she has participated in choir at all the churches she has attended and even led the kids choir and adult ensemble at her previous church. She has been the adult choir leader and music director since 2015. Barbara has been married for 32 years to Curtis Adair and is the mother to Glenn, Jorge, Juan, Stefanie and Katie Adair (Nick) Beaver. She is blessed to be the grandma to Emery Beaver. Barbara states “It has been exciting to see what God has done at Sardis, both in the church and in the choir. One of Jennifer’s favorite verses is Joshua 24:15, “…as for me and my household we will serve the Lord.” Jennifer has been serving the Lord with Sardis Baptist Church for the past 22 years. She and her husband Kevin are also active members at Mount Olivet Baptist Church. They have two adult children; Cade, and daughter, Katelyn. Their youngest son Jacob is dual enrolled at Hart County High School and North Georgia Tech; majoring in Engineering. 20 years. They have three beautiful blessings, Lindsay (17), Olivia (15) and Landon (12). Samantha was born and raised here in Hart County and at SBC. She obtained her bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and taught in some capacity in the public school system until answering the calling for preschool education. Samantha married her high school sweetheart, Sam, and they have two awesome boys, Jackson and Grady. Samantha would definitely describe herself as a "boy mom". In her spare time she loves to be outside (summer is her favorite season), spending time with her family, or baking sweet treats.
